Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm* in the IBM Rehearsal Room at the Durham Arts Council (DAC) in downtown Durham.
Our rehearsals will be held in the IBM Rehearsal Room on the lower level of the Arts Council. Parents may park in the lot across Morris Street after 5:00 pm, or in the Parking Deck located on Morgan Street next to the Arts Council. The city of Durham is undergoing many new street improvements; plan for adequate time to arrive at rehearsals promptly. Parents and friends are always welcome at all rehearsals, although we ask you to refrain from talking while you are in the rehearsal room!
First rehearsal will be on Tuesday, September 2.
*Required Parent Meeting will be held on September 4 from 5:30 - 6:15 pm.
A DCC Retreat will be held at Temple Baptist Church on Saturday, September 6 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. We will provide pizza for lunch. Directions to Temple Baptist will be given at the first rehearsal.
Small Ensemble Performances
You will notice on the 2008-2009 Calendar that there are a couple performances which call for small groups of singers (The number of singers requested for each performance are noted.) We will either ask for volunteers, or we will choose singers for specific performances. More information will be sent to you concerning these events.
All Durham Children's Choir members are required to participate in all performances, unless it is otherwise noted on the schedule or unless there is sickness or a death in the family.
