PICCFest 2026

We’re Hosting!

The Durham Children’s Choir is proud to host this year’s Piedmont Invitational Children’s Choir Festival, featuring six of North Carolina’s finest children’s choirs. The festival will take place Saturday, February 28, at Duke Memorial Methodist Church.

Students will spend Friday evening and Saturday rehearsing and learning under the direction of guest clinician Dr. Stuart Chapman Hill, an accomplished conductor, composer, and educator. The festival will culminate in a 4:00 PM concert on Saturday, showcasing performances from each participating choir as well as a stirring mass choir finale featuring all singers together.

This inspiring performance is free and open to the public—we invite our Durham community and beyond to join us for an afternoon of beautiful music and celebration of young voices from across the state.

About the Piedmont Invitational Children’s Choir Festival (PICCF)

Founded in 1982, the Piedmont Invitational Children’s Choir Festival (PICCF) brings together treble choirs from across North Carolina who share a commitment to artistic excellence and the joy of singing. The festival provides young singers with the opportunity to work with an outstanding guest clinician, connect with peers who share their passion for music, and experience the unity and creativity that choral music inspires.

Beyond the musical experience, the festival fosters collaboration among choir directors and administrators who exchange ideas about organization, community engagement, and youth development through music. Each year, the festival is hosted in a different North Carolina city, giving participating choirs an exciting opportunity to travel, learn, and grow together through music.
